You should try sitting through half of the "Chaos Theory" lectures I had to sit through, back when I was in Uni! Best cure for insomnia (and sanity) I ever found! Stick out tongue

    Sint Maarten! Sint Maarten!
    De koeien hebben staarten
    De meisjes hebben rokjes aan
    Daar komt Sint Martinus aan!

    Saint Martin! Saint Martin!
The cows, they have there tails
    The girls, they're wearing skirts
    There is coming Saint Martin!

It's the eleventh day of the eleventh month of the year...
...it's cold outside and the storm is picking up...
Children go from door to door singing this sweet song
doors are opening, candles in the hallway and a large bowl of sweets
and a (smaller) bowl full of mandarins are waiting for them.
Winter has begun, and after this evening of singing about Saint Martin,
the waiting for Saint Nicolas can begin...

Hear the wind blow through the trees...
      ....Saint Nicolas is coming....
        ....coming...coming...

Re: Work is a four-letter word

I must be bored at work today - just written my JOME Forum Profile Blog:

"Once upon a time there was a lonely hopeless Elven lady called Raven. She walked a very solo path, her kin desolate and absent.

One evening she stumbled drunkenly and despondently into the aptly named Lone Lands, after far too many glasses of red wine. Grouped with some poor unsuspecting strangers nearby, to take on quests of more magnitude than her pickled Elf brain could comprehend. Upon her travels her group chanced upon a tall calm and friendly young Man named Rowanath, who helped her, and showed her the right way of things.

The quest brought about challenges of which she had never seen before, such as traversing bridges over great cravasses, with pits of giant spiders below. In her merriment and optimism of her new found friends and eagerness to impress, she dashed gallantly to her next target... in the pits below!

Several deaths later, her new companion, after finally stitching his sides back up, decided her "skills" should be a welcome addition to his new kin - the Jesters of Middle Earth.

Upon being invited to the kin, and being welcomed warmly by new and fabulous names, many of which shared her crazy ways, Ravenswing Moonbright, Pie-Maven found a new home, a new family and a new love for this game called life."
