    Farewell then Jesters...

As one of the three founders of the Jesters it's with sadness that I see the kinship go... The name 'The Jesters' was always meant to be a symbol of our fun, and our desire not to take the game too seriously; to be a kinship that existed for fun, not for raiding. A kinship that accepted anyone of any level, with the aim of having a laugh together. It seems a shame to throw away a name that was featured in a national magazine as one of the most fun kinships in Middle Earth... But what do I know?

I know that I'm not around much these days, though I was hoping to start to rectify that issue, and I understand that with diminishing numbers partaking in quests was becoming more and more difficult, however I don't think I will be joining 'The Lost Alliance'. I'll stick with a Jester title for as long as it's going, and if you choose to disband it altogether let me know, and I will begin anew.

Good luck to all. I've enjoyed my time here (three years?) and I am sorry to see things draw to a close...

All the best in The Lost Alliance; I hope you all find your way there. Smile

    Becky

Might it be a good idea if leadership of the Jesters is transfered to for instance Waterlily? As the Lost Alliance is taking flight already and 'these days not regular Jesters' may be coming back online some day again, the Jesters can make a re-start with a Founding Mum ;-)

I for instance don't mind paying for the kinhall till we're there and back again, but that would be a waste if the kin is to be disbanded...

    Re: Farewell then Jesters...

Some of us (ye) olde timers are still hanging around with 'Jesters' under their name, so the kin isn't going anywhere yet. :)

I don't know if we need to keep upto date on the kin hall payments Dye, if we run out at all then we don't loose the house... you just have to pay to unlock it and retrieve some things for the chests etc. I think it might be cheaper to unlock it than to keep paying in the long term, but I'm not sure. At least we won't loose it however. :)

I'd be more than happy to take the reins again if the current powers that be wouldn't mind... I can't promise that I'll be online everyday, but at the moment I'm getting on at least a couple of times a week, heh, just sometimes on an elven alt, who would be more than happy to become a Jester. There's a few g in my bags so I could help to keep up the kinship hall for a while too, until we could rebuild ourselves into a thriving and rowdy group once more... Smile

I transfered all the raised kin monies to Raggy last night, some 19 gold so should keep it going for more than a year/18 months or so.

    Haha, completely understood. Wink

I'm so excited about getting the Jesters back together now that things are taking shape. Expect a suitably cheesy and rousing kinship mail / forum post soon, hehe. I'll also be putting the forum back together a bit, and potentially removing some of the clutter that's no longer very relevant. Shall have a think about that though. I may also let the world know via the Codemasters forums that, if anyone is interested in some fun, no pressure gaming in an excellent kinship, the Jesters will be around for them.

Let me know everyone if you have any ideas / suggestions / thoughts for how to rebuild what is, without a doubt, the best kinship on the server (modesty eh?) let me know. Big Smile

    Re: Farewell then Jesters...

Yays Clap its great to see so many old faces here.

I think the first priority should be to re-Jesterise Chuggs ASAP! Old Tongue
Hehe, I am still around here too so it will be quite cool to see some of original folks Jestering it up again.

I think we are a smaller kinship now, but it seems alot of the long time people have chosen to stick around. Old Smile So cleaning out the forum abit might be a nice idea Lily. No other suggestions at the moment, will hope to see some of you ingame soon then!

Oh and I'm now a lifer too! I took advantage while they were cheap recently. Big Smile
